Kernos has been awarded a £10,000 grant, funded by Suffolk Community Foundation, through the Bluebell Fund.

This generous amount will enable Kernos to provide 285 counselling sessions to disadvantaged adults, children and young people in our area, to support their mental health and wellbeing. It will allow us to continue our work improving our clients’ lives, and to give equal access to all, regardless of their financial situation: especially those in need, who have been unable to get help on the NHS and cannot afford to contribute towards the cost of their counselling, but still desperately need help.

Supporting emotional and mental health can be critical in ensuring problems, or issues, do not escalate. Working through their problems in counselling enables vulnerable individuals to build their resilience, social and emotional skills, as well as their self-esteem, leading to greater confidence and improving their ability to thrive: at home; work; school, and in the community.

Thank you, to both organisations, for their valuable, continued support.
