Carley is a counsellor who believes in showing up as a real person first, offering a space where clients can be themselves—messy, unsure, and figuring things out—while being met with compassion, curiosity, and no judgement. She also values the role of humour within the therapeutic space, recognising that a shared smile or moment of lightness can sometimes help ease the weight of more difficult experiences.

She works with both children and adults, tailoring her approach to meet each person where they are. Her practice is grounded, gentle, and human, with a focus on creating space to explore both present challenges and past experiences, including early life attachments. She supports clients in making sense of their stories, patterns, and emotions, helping to build greater self-understanding as a foundation for meaningful change.

She has been part of Kernos teams since 2021, and it holds deep significance for her—not only as a place of work, but as a charity that provides vital support to the local community. She feels honoured to be part of that work.

Carley is also one of Kernos’ trained Walk & Talk therapists, offering counselling sessions in outdoor settings where appropriate, combining therapeutic support with the benefits of nature and gentle movement.

Outside of her counselling work, she enjoys running and going to the gym. She believes exercise can have a positive impact on mental health and often encourages movement as a supportive—not prescriptive—way to help regulate emotions and reconnect with the body.
