The first event to be held following a recent update to the building was a coffee morning, on 2nd April, in aid of Kernos and attended by Chris Boatwright, Counselling Director and volunteer Jan Sampson. It raised £675, which is a brilliant achievement for a coffee morning, showing the generosity of the Chelsworth residents.

Chris said, “All Saints Church is such a lovely building and we feel very privileged to have been chosen as the first event to be supported after the update to the building. Jan and I very much enjoyed meeting the members of the community, who were all very friendly and supportive. The many cakes and raffle prizes donated were very impressive and were also a huge credit to everyone involved.

“This recognition, support and generosity from everybody involved with the coffee morning raising £675, will help us to continue to provide counselling to people in need, who cannot get help on the NHS, nor afford to contribute towards the cost of their counselling, but still desperately need help. It will contribute to helping those most disadvantaged to access our counselling service at a very difficult time in their lives.

“Our grateful thanks to everyone involved.”
