Paul began his journey into counselling from a deep desire to support others through life’s challenges and transitions. He started as a listening volunteer with the Samaritans and later supported new trainees as a mentor. This experience was deeply transformative and inspired him to pursue his long-held ambition of studying counselling in greater depth, leading to a BA (Hons) in Person-Centred Counselling.
He offers a holistic and compassionate approach, supporting clients to find clarity, resilience, and hope. Helping others move through difficulty has been one of the most meaningful aspects of both his personal and professional journey.
A piece of wisdom that continues to inspire him comes from a client who once shared a favourite quote:
“When you drive home today, you’ve got a big windscreen on the front of your car and a little rearview mirror. The reason the windscreen is so large and the mirror so small is because what’s ahead of you is far more important than what’s behind you.”
