Our town mayor, Jan Osborne, a keen supporter of Kernos, suggested to Patrick Bell, the CEO of the AFC football club, that he contact Kernos. Directors Chris Boatwright, and David Morris duly accepted his invitation to the club, for the match on 20th April, where they were joined by volunteer Janet Crawley, and assistant fundraiser, Louise Richardson.
So, firstly, a big thank you to Jan Osborne, for putting Patrick in touch with us.
We would also like to say thank you to Patrick and his team, for inviting Kernos to the match, and for choosing us as your Champion Charity, for April. Thank you, too, for the warm welcome, and the hospitality shown to us by everyone at AFC. All of us really enjoyed meeting and talking to the people there, and welcomed the opportunity to tell them about Kernos, and the service we provide.
