As the founders and organisers of Sudbury Area Cancer Support Group, Ruth and Phil Worsley are moving to Yorkshire, the Group has had to close. They contacted all of the members, to ask them where they would like the money remaining in the kitty to be donated.  There was a total of £600 and the members  decided to donate £300 to Kernos and £300 to St Nicholas Hospice.

Ruth said, “We feel that local charities and organisations should benefit from the money as it was raised not only by our members but also by local organisations.”

Kernos Director, Chris Boatwright  said, “Ruth and Phil should be so proud of the group’s achievements and the support they have provided for so many local people. Also, they have personally donated to the Kernos Centre before now, and both Ruth and Phil, will  be sorely missed and remembered by so many people. A big thank you both and to all the members of the group”.

A reminder, too, that Kernos still has funding to work with any adult Carers of other adults, should you require counselling support.
