Karen is Director of Governance and Compliance for Kernos. She is a Chartered Accountant and joined the Kernos board of trustees in summer 2019.
She currently works for Suffolk-based energy company, Drax Energy Solutions, as Head of Risk & Governance. She holds a part-time role of Finance Director for local property surveying business, MS Surveys, and recently spent five and a half years as a non-executive director and vice-chair of the Board for Colchester Borough Homes.
An advocate of mental well-being, Karen has seen the benefits that counselling has brought to close family and friends. She is keen to support Kernos with her leadership and business skills, with a focus on ensuring that Kernos is fit for the future and can continue providing much needed support to the local community in the years to come.
Karen has 2 daughters and enjoys gardening and playing saxophone in a local Swing Band.
