While children and young people with emotional and psychological problems can benefit enormously themselves from a course of counselling, what is often overlooked are the effects that the children’s problems may have on the parents.
Recognising this, the Suffolk Community Foundation has recently channelled awards of £2000 from the Bluebell Fund and £1000 from the Catalyst Fund in order to help Kernos provide upwards of 150 part-funded counselling sessions specifically geared to helping parents understand, and know how to cope with, the problems being experienced by their children.
You could provide a welcome addition to this vital funding either by:
1) sending a cheque, made out to ‘The Kernos Centre’, to Kernos Centre, 32-34 Friars Street, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 2AG
or:
2) clicking on the ‘Donate Now’ button at the top of this screen, and following the instructions.
If you are a taxpayer, your contribution could also be eligible for Gift Aid – which means that every £10 you contribute is worth £12.50 to Kernos. For a Gift Aid Declaration form, please contact the Centre – either at the above address, by phone on 01787 882883, or by e-mail at [email protected]
