Sudbury’s 95 Club Donates £1000 to Kernos

Kernos was delighted and extremely grateful recently to receive a cheque for £1,000 from the very generous ladies of Sudbury’s 95 Club.

The Club, whose aims are to promote social and intellectual well-being through congenial companionship, is a non-political, non-sectarian and non-racial women’s group which supports local charities through fundraising.

As well as meeting at 7.30pm on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month in Sudbury’s Hill Lodge Hotel, club members also enjoy regular social outings to places like Audley End and Hyde Hall, lots of chatting over coffee and eating out.

Currently the group is about 30 strong and they are always delighted to welcome new members – Lesley Roberts (01787 374 944) is the person to call if you are interested.

Club 95’s very generous donation will help considerably towards enabling us to continue providing support for local adults and young people suffering with emotional and psychological issues – particularly those not covered by the statutory provision or who have insufficient means.

You can also help Kernos to provide counselling for people, regardless of their financial situation, by donating money directly – this can be done either by:

1) sending a cheque, made out to Kernos Centre, 32-34 Friars Street, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 2AG

or:

2) clicking on the Donate Now’ button at the top of the this page, and following the instructions

If you are a taxpayer, your contribution could also be eligible for Gift Aid – which means that every £10 contributed is worth £12.50 to us. For a Gift Aid Declaration form, please contact us – either at the above address or by e-mail at admin@kernos.org
