Kernos chosen as one of the new Mayor’s charities!

Sudbury’s new Mayor, Cllr Jack Owen, has chosen Kernos as one of the local charities that he will be lending his support to during his term of office.

There will be various fund-raising events taking place during the coming year, all designed to help benefit the Mayor’s selected charities. After Cllr Owen’s 12-month term of office comes to an end, the Kernos Centre will receive a share of the total funds that have been donated.

At a time when locally-sourced, long-term financial support is proving particularly hard to find, this is good news for potential clients of Kernos, since every penny allocated to the Centre from the Mayor’s fund will go to help the provision of the professional counselling and support for local people suffering from emotional and psychological difficulties.

You may also like to help Kernos by providing vital funding directly – this can be done either by:

1) sending a cheque, made out to ‘The Kernos Centre’, to Kernos Centre, 32-34 Friars Street, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 2AG

or:

2) clicking on the ‘Donate Now’ button at the top of this screen, and following the instructions.

If you are a taxpayer, your contribution could also be eligible for Gift Aid – which means that every £10 you contribute is worth £12.50 to Kernos. For a Gift Aid Declaration form, please contact the Centre – either at the above address, by phone on 01787 882883, or by e-mail at admin@kernos.org
