Steve is the Director at the Kernos Centre with responsibility for its external communications.
This includes overseeing development of the website and ensuring that all media material (leaflets, press releases and the basic resource material) is correctly and consistently presented, and fit for purpose.
Steve worked in the motor industry – initially with Ford of Europe and then with Renault UK – before joining the marketing agency Crazy Horse to successfully expand its automotive business.
He sat on the British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine working party responsible for formulating the National Clinical Guidelines for patient rehabilitation following Acquired Brain Injury, and was part of an ongoing National Institute for Health Research study to improve the NHS provision of cost-efficient, long-term neuro-rehabilitation services.
Steve is currently an Associate Board Member of The National Youth Jazz Orchestra: as well as being a world-class jazz big band, which sold out the Albert Hall for their performance at The Proms in 2018, NYJO is also a national charity with a remit to nurture and develop the playing, composing and performing talents of young musicians.
Steve is a Parish Councillor and married to Ann, who is a Parish Clerk (but not in the same Parish!); they have two ‘grown-up and gone-away’ sons, two granddaughters and a black miniature Schnauzer called Phoebe.
