Trained in the humanistic Person Centred approach, Ann holds a philosophical view that greater self-understanding facilitates the potential for change.

Ann works one-to-one and has experience in both time-limited and long-term therapy. She works in a non-directive way and offers a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space in which her clients can explore their difficulties and concerns at a pace that suits their individual needs.

With experience of Gestalt techniques, and Art Therapy skills, Ann is able to offer clients an opportunity to work creatively and spontaneously with different art/craft materials to facilitate expression and greater self-awareness.

In addition to working in private practice for several years, Ann has worked for various organisations offering counselling to adults and young people across Essex. Organisational settings include Colchester Cruse Bereavement Care, Colchester MIND and the Colchester and Tendring Youth Enquiry Service.

Ann has been a counselling team member at the Kernos Centre since 2014. She is committed to ongoing self-development and self-care and looks forward to encountering each individual client with warmth and authenticity.
